Grants awarded 2018-19

We are pleased to present the groups who have been funded under our Relief in Need (RIN) small grants programme for 2019.

This year saw the highest number of applicants ever, and we are delighted to say included more groups from the Wandsworth areas covered by the terms of the grant – SW12 and SW17 – as well as many who are working in Lambeth.

The valuable services offered by these organisations and projectswill reach out to girls; refugees and asylum seekers; faith based volunteers; mental health sufferers; rough sleepers; young mums and babies; toddlers; older people; LBGT adults, young adults; youth and many more.

We have tried to spread our resources as widely as possible this year mindful that many small community groups are struggling to find funding. We know from feedback that small amounts of local funding can make a big difference to the quality and variety of what can be offered. These are  importantorganisations that supply opportunities, activities, belonging and support to disadvantaged groups– social glue that helps to bond and enrich our local communities.

At Thrale we are proud of the rich variety of local groups we have and will continue to work with to help build and maintain strong resilient communities.
